Thanks, Nick. We appreciate your thoughts. I’ll reach out where I can.
In fact, we know how difficult it can be for the home brewer/vintner to find a source of unpasteurized, preservative-free, fresh cider for fermenting– so we at Nesbitt’s Nursery & Orchard just completed one special press of all untreated cider.
(This batch is 1:1:3:3:2:2 parts Cortland:Fireside:Gala:Haralson:Honeycrisp:Sweet16… and it’s delicious.)
It’s available for $8/gallon and sold in units of 5 gallons.
If you or anyone you know might be interested, please know that pick up will be January 6-16 by appointment only — as Nesbitt’s is closed to the public at this time.
Still, feel free to contact me (mick [at] nesbittsnursery.com), and I’d be happy to help with any cider orders.
(Note to readers: By law, untreated cider may only be sold direct-to-consumer at the site of processing. Untreated cider may not be purchased by a business for resale.)
Thanks again for your help.
Mick
